# tailor

> Reference for the tailor tool: get the CV designs, a deterministic draft with every source line, and save a reworded version after the truth check.

Source: https://careers.geenius.io/docs/reference/tailor/

draft returns the deterministic version and every source line; save stores your reworded version after the truth check. The check repairs a CV line by line and refuses a letter that contains an unsupported sentence.

Call it as `geenius_careers(tool: "tailor", action: "<action>", args: {...})` through Geenius OS.

## Actions

| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| `templates` | The CV designs (id, name, layout, density, recommended length, languages), the lengths and densities, and the output formats. An unknown design id is refused with this list. |
| `draft` | For a posting: the requirements, the match, the tailored CV and letter, and the source lines by id. |
| `save` | Save a CV and a letter for a posting as a new version (mode agent), after the truth check. |

## Arguments we have checked

### tailor · draft

For a posting: the requirements, the match, the tailored CV and letter, and the source lines by id.

- `job_id`: A stored posting.
- `posting`: Or a posting object.
- `lang`: en, de or nl.
- `template_id`: A design id.

### tailor · save

Save a CV and a letter for a posting as a new version (mode agent), after the truth check.

- `job_id` (required): The posting.
- `cv` (required): The CV, starting from what draft returned. Every bullet needs a src, a source id from draft.
- `letter` (required): The letter.
- `template_id`: A design id.
- `note`: A short note about the version.

> [!TIP]
> Ask for the exact arguments of any action with `action: "help", of: "templates"`. The server answers from its own definitions, so that answer is always current.

> [!NOTE]
> A letter is never machine-translated: ask draft for a letter in the language you need first.
